showcase tomorrow!
Hello Paricipants - a gentle reminder that tomorrow is our showcase and the last day of the hackathon. We are looking for presentations and proof of life. (see last email) The format should be 10-15 minute presentation on what you've been doing with your projects. You can go longer we have reserved time - especially if there is Q&A. Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

Last checkpoint day before the end!

Hackathon Presentation Day - 9/13/2023
Hello Participants!
Wednesday, Sept 6th is the last day of the hackathon and your opportunity to showcase your project. It's been a long journey from July 26th and we'd love to hear about what progress you've made in turning your project from CUDA to SYCL!

Prizing announcement and Schedule Change
Hello Participants!
As we get closer to the end of the hackathon – we are announcing prizing! We have fifteen Intel® Arc A770 Limited Edition 16GB PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Cards – ARV $459.99. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The total potential ARV (Approximate Retail Value) of all prizes is $5,519.88.
Prizes will be handed out randomly amongst those who have a project and give a presentation at the end of the hackathon.

Upcoming Checkpoint - get your technical questions asked! August 17th
Hello Participants!
I hope this reaches all of you in great spirits. I hope you are all having fun with the hackathon thus far! I wanted to announce that we have added a check point session on August 17th. From 6:30am - 10:30am U.S. Pacific Time Zone. The idea is that you get a chance to have a few hours to talk to some SYCL folks and help you port your codes from CUDA to SYCL.

Hackathon update
Hello Participants!
We wanted to give everyone a heads up on some schedule changes.
Added a new checkpoint – We have added an extra checkpoint which will consist of a 2-hour session with SYCL experts on Discord to help with your porting of your CUDA codes. Take advantage of this great opportunity to talk with experts and get some questions answered!
Deadline to submit Projects has changed – We have changed the deadline from Sept 6 to August 25th. This was to correct a misunderstanding about how deadlines work. …

Schedule changes
We have extended the hackathon calendar. We will allow submissions all the way till August 25th, 2023 for your projects. The hackathon will finish on September 9th.
The check point day - this is where you will be able to have a live Q&A session with SYCL experts to help port your code on August 24th.
